IONutrition: Ready to Eat Organic, Gluten Free Meals

As I get older, somehow I feel like I'm always busy. When I was in college, I was taking 5 classes and had 3 part time jobs and had no problem doing that. Now I have one job and one blog (OK, and doing random things here and there), but I always feel like I never have time for anything! Like cooking dinner.

I mean, cooking just takes a lot out of me! But as they say, if you want to eat healthy, you need to eat at home. Well, luckily, I got to do that for a few days thanks to IONutrition who sent me some samples of their meals. IONutrition delivers chef-prepared, organic, gluten-free meals to your door.

Catfish with lentils
The company is based in Chino Hills, CA, but they package everything up and ship nationwide. They deliver weekly and the meals are sealed and keep for a while.

It's easy to heat them up just with a microwave or oven.

Here's the dual peppers and sweet potato rice with salmon

The portions are pretty generous, I never felt that I was still hungry after finishing a meal. Not stuffed, not hungry, just at the right place. I really enjoyed my two fish dishes. Both the salmon and catfish were moist and tender, and overall the dishes were very flavorful. There's no need to sacrifice flavor to eat healthy.

They also sent me some breakfast items. There was a blueberry chia pudding that I devoured one morning. I forgot to take photos of it, but it was delicious. The other one was this pair of gluten free muffins.

I definitely enjoyed the chia pudding more but these are not bad at all for gluten free muffins! They're pretty moist, especially considering they sat in the fridge for a few days.

You can get a weekly plan that includes breakfast and lunch/dinners, or you can just order a 5 or 10-pack of their entrees! Check our their meal plans and the pricing here. They're more expensive than cooking your own meals, of course, but they're only a bit more than the meal kit services.

I thought the food was healthy, tasty, and definitely very convenient. Sometimes it's worth spending extra to make your life that much easier, especially when you are getting home tired after a long day at work.

If you're interested in trying them out, you can get 15% off their meal plan with code GOURMET.
