Fiona,
Nice job of tracking down the Pondok Kaki Lima reopening. That food there is special, much better than any food I've eaten at L.A. area Indonesian restaurants.
I haven't eaten at PKL since 2006 (http://www.foodgps.com/review/pondok-kaki-lima-duarte-ca-saturday-february-11-2006) but definitely plan a return trip. Thanks.
Thanks Josh! Yeah I didn't go for a while before it got shut down - it's kinda far and I sorta took it for granted that it'd be there.
I'm gonna go soon after this reopening though :)
Have address?

Burumun,
if you have friends coming over from Out of State, where would you bring them to eat? They love any kind of food. Moderate expensive, or Relatively cheap.
?
Hi E,
I think I would definitely take them to the ethnic places that they normally can't have in their state, including Mexican, Jitlada for Thai,Peruvian(Mario's), Bincho/Otafuku/Asa in Torrance/Gardena area, and the various Vietnamese places in Little Saigon, and Chinese places in the SG/Alhambra/MP area.
Oh and if they enjoy sushi, then Zo/Shibucho will probably be on my list.
