Happy Hour at The Capital Grille Beverly Hills

The Capital Grille in Beverly Hills recently launched a happy hour, with $6 drinks and bar food every weekday from 4:30-7pm. To spread the word, they offered to host a happy hour for my friends and readers with complimentary food and happy hour-priced drinks! There's a bar next to the main restaurant downstairs, but you can drink while getting fresh air at the Terrace upstairs.

The happy hour food turns out to be a really great deal! For $6 you will get two mini tenderloin sandwiches, each with a thick, juicy piece of tenderloin steak and sauteed mushrooms. Who needs burgers when you can have steak?

Or, two lobster and crab cake burgers. That's $3 each for a lobster-and-crab-cake burgers! Last time I had crab cake I paid $13 for one. These were not one of those crab cakes that are mostly flour, these are filled with crab and lobster.

Surprisingly, one of our favorites was the mini mozzarella, proscuitto and basil sandwich! We loved that the bread was covered in crisped parmesan.

If you want more lobster at happy hour prices, then get two of the lobster salad sandwiches.

There are also always cheeseburger, calamari, truffled fries, or shrimp cocktails.

They also were not stingy with their happy hour cocktails. While most places only offer high-balls with well liquor for happy hour, you can choose from a selection of cocktails made with fresh juices. Yes, the menu is vodka-heavy, but a cooling and refreshing Grapefruit Buck (Absolut Ruby Red, Elderflower liqueur, ginger beer, lime juice) sounds great sitting in this 100-degree Pasadena weather.

Other happy hour drinks include Mojito de Uvas (mojito with green grapes added), Hemingway Daiquiri, and their signature Stoli Doli (Stoli which had spent days being infused with pineapple).

While I haven't had dinner at The Capital Grille yet, I was very happy with their happy hour offerings. Good food and refreshing drinks at great prices! It's quite a deal, especially in Beverly Hills.

Thanks for my friends and readers for joining me at this event, and especially those of you who have posted about it. The Capital Grille also had a drawing for $100 gift certificate for the attendees. Congratulations to the winner, Tammy Lu!
