For New Year's Eve, Bow and Truss in North Hollywood is offering up a 4-course menu for $50. With 2-4 choices for each course and plenty of vegan options, there's something for everyone.

Start with a choice of pastel de choclo (corn and meat pie), patatas bravas (salt-cured potatoes, that's your vegan option) or Tuna Tartare (olives, garlic, shallots, served on house made cracker)

A simple but warming bowl, or you can get a refreshing Minted Fava Bean salad (fava beans, fresh mint, romaine lettuce, cucumber, lemon honey vinaigrette)

You get four choices for the entree.
There's the vegan Paella Primavera (zucchini, broccolini, squash, mushrooms, baby heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, micro cilantro)

Of if you're me, then you'd go with the seared duck breast, or the Prime Striploin (pan de crystal, grilled onions, duck fries)

The striploin was quite tender, more so than I had expected.
Don't want vegan or red meat? There's also a swordfish risotto.

Dessert choices include cava sorbet with strawberries and the arroz con coco (coconut rice pudding with chocolate mousse, mango jam, and crunchy coconut tuile).

One More Bite Blog says the mango jam makes this dish reminiscent of the mango sticky rice.

The $50 dinner also comes with a glass of cava. It's new year's eve after all! Call 818-985-8787 to make your reservation.
