Where to Eat In Irvine, CA During WITS '16

There'll be 500 women travel bloggers from all over the world convening in Irvine, CA in March for Women in Travel Summit! Having lived in Southern California, I'm excited to share the diversity of the food culture we have with these women. Here are ten of my picks for the more off-the-beaten and alternative places to eat in Irvine for WITS attendees to try while they're in town:

PS. If you're a female travel blogger, be sure to check out the summit schedule and see if you'd like to join!

Bruxie
14376 Culver Dr, Irvine, CA 92604
Waffle sandwiches! That's all you need to know, really. Not just sweet waffle sandwiches, but savory ones like fried chicken or ham and eggs. Because who needs bread when you have waffles? Read my review from their other location.

Mick's Karma Bar
2010 Main St, Irvine, CA 92614
This small spot is hidden in an office building but rather hard to find, but it's worth it to try their award winning burgers. The meat is ground fresh multiple times a day, making for a great burger that goes well with their strawberry basil lemonade.

Santouka
14230 Culver Dr, Irvine, CA 92604
Even though great ramen places have opened up all over the LA area in the past year, Santouka still serves some solid ramen, and some of the beste in Orange County area. Santouka is an oldie but goodie, you can't go wrong with this place when you have a ramen craving.

TLT Food
705 Spectrum Center Dr, Irvine, CA 92618
This fast casual restaurant started from The Lime Truck (hence, TLT) which was a winner of the Great Food Truck Challenge. Sliders, pork belly adobo taco, ahi tuna tostada, are just some of the fun items from their menu, which they're calling "New American" cuisine. Read my review of their original location.

Boiling Point
14140 Culver Dr, Irvine, CA 92604
Individual pots of Chinese hot pot, filled to the brim with meats and vegetables. There's no fighting over meat or broth here, as everyone can get their choice of meat or how spicy they want their broth. For the adventurous, there's an option for stinky tofu as well! Here's my review of the original location.

BCD Tofu House
2700 Alton Pkwy #135, Irvine, CA 92606
Korean food, piping hot tofu stew served in stone pots. Plus, they're open 24 hours, for when you need some comfort food after a night of partying and networking!

Mokkoji Shabu Shabu Bar
14041 Jeffrey Rd, Irvine, CA 92620
Shabu shabu with high quality meats, different types of broths to choose from, and all you can eat vegetables, but save room for some squid ink porridge at the end.

Class 302
18090 Culver Dr, Irvine, CA 92612
13252 Jamboree Rd Irvine, CA 92602
A local favorite among youngsters for their shaved snow (my favorite is the mango shaved snow), boba, and Taiwanese snacks!

Poke Dot
17921 MacArthur Blvd, Irvine, CA 92614
The poke craze is sweeping Southern California, so of course, Irvine has one as well. Poke bowl is a Hawaiian dish of rice topped with marinated raw fish and various toppings. At Poke Dot you can select your base, fish, and toppings as you see fit. If you've never had a poke bowl, definitely try one while you're here!

Cucina Enoteca
532 Spectrum Center Dr, Irvine, CA 92618
If you'd like a nicer dinner while in Irvine, Cucina Enoteca is a good spot for Italian food and wines inside Irvine Spectrum Center.
