I was able to attend their launch party about a month ago and checked out the swanky spot with its plush couches and a cozy patio overlooking the lush lawn.
The Tap Room's cocktail menu was the work of master mixologist/consultant Ben Browning, who was also responsible for Bar Centro's (at The Bazaar) cocktail list. Ben was on hand during the launch party mixing a delicious cocktail called Uva Bella (muddled grapes, gin, St. Germain, lemon juice) for guests. The beer list at The Tap Room is worth a visit as well, with brews like Unibroue Blanche de Chambly and Chimay Tripel.
Though I did not try out the actual bar food menu at The Tap Room, if the hors d'ouvres served at the launch party are any indication, you can expect some upscale bar bites like these scallops and gougeres filled with foie gras pate.
Oh, and ChowBalla had high praises for the "moon chips" (she proclaims that it's the "best bar snack ever"). I wasn't able to try it this time around but certainly plan to very soon.
