Chicken Charlie's always has some fun items. This year's includes Krispy Kreme Burger or Sloppy Joe (two mini glazed donuts with either a burger patty or sloppy joe in the middle), deep fried Twinkies, bacon wrapped pickles ...

This year LA's Creole favorite Harold and Belle's will also be at the fair serving fried catfish, crawfish etouffee, boiled crawfish and bread pudding.
At the preview they gave us a punch card, so to fill it up I ended up trying a bunch of stuff. I really liked the hot, crispy blooming onions from Fresh Frys!
Ten Pound Buns don't actually give you the whole ten pounds, phew. They bake a ten pound sourdough loaf and slice it up.
Go savory with tomatoes, pepperoni, cheese, and onions. Oh, hey, veggies!
Or be more adventurous and try the bacon nutella one!
Tasti Chips has good, thick potato chips which you can get plain, with cheese (bacon cheddar?), or "dirty" with chipotle beef, cheese, tomatoes, and green onions. The cheese one was better and easier to eat though.
Brisket Sundae, anyone? This was from the BBQ vendor and is composed of mashed potato at the bottom topped with bbq brisket and a cherry tomato.
Don't forget to check out the award winning wines, beers, and olive oils from the Los Angeles International Competitions. There will also be scheduled tastings and seminars ($17).
Tickets to the fair are $12-19 for adults, depending on the day. They also currently have a Star Trek exhibition which is $5 extra.
