LA Loves Alex's Lemonade Returns Sept 29

There are plenty of food charity events in LA, but LA Loves Alex's Lemonade is still one of the best out there with famous chefs arriving from all over the US to raise funds to fight childhood cancer.

The chefs and restaurants that participate in this event do not skimp, as evidenced by the raw bar with oysters, uni, and crab at last year's event

Michael Cimarusti from Providence was previewing his new casual restaurant, Connie and Ted's, with the best clam chowder I've ever had. I'm still waiting for this place to open so I can have this again!

Ribs al forno from Nancy Silverton and Matt Molina of Osteria Mozza
A whole spread of Huckleberry pastries! Heaven!
The drinks from Eric Alperin (The Varnish) and other great mixologists were perfect to cool down with.
Roasted quail from Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal was one of my favorite bites

This year's event will take place on Saturday, September 29, 12-4pm at the Culver Studios with chefs like Jonathan Waxman, Giada de Laurentiis, Cat Cora, Marc Vetri and April Bloomfield participating. Of course, don't forget the great LA chefs like Michael Cimarusti, Michael Voltaggio, Nancy Silverton, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, and so many more.

Oh, and Neil Patrick Harris will again be a co-host with his partner! Time for your photo-op.
Tickets are $175 and benefits the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to fight childhood cancer. So many good food and drinks for a great cause!
