Hotel Review: Brook Farm Inn (Lenox, MA)

Fall is a great time to visit Massachusetts, especially towards the mountains. I used the opportunity to visit The Berkshires for some leaf peeping, staying at a Select Registry property, Brook Farm Inn in Lenox. Time for some fall foliage!

Brook Farm Inn is a small, cute inn/bed and breakfast set in a cottage built in 1882.

I was staying on the 3rd floor, in The Poet's Room. It's a cozy and romantic room.

The tea room has a window alcove that was just adorable and inviting. Of course, I just had to sit there and enjoy my afternoon tea. Afternoon tea is served around 4 and is included with your room rate, as is breakfast.

Black tea, cookies, and scones in the afternoon.

If you're there for a relaxing getaway, you can sip tea and enjoy your scones while reading one of the many books they have on the shelves. I had an early dinner to go to, though, per the recommendation of the lovely inn keeper lady, Angela.

Breakfast is served buffet style in the mornings. During the fall, the inns around The Berkshires are pretty much completely booked on the weekends, including here, and you'll see all the guests at breakfast.

For breakfast, Angela and her husband, John, likes to use and support local producers. The husband lived in Guatemala for 5 years and swears by the coffee from No 6 Depot. Bread pudding was served next to a plum sauce, which was made by Angela's mother in law.

They use exclusively Berkshire Mountain Bakery for all their breads. I tried the last of the chocolate bread, made with sourdough starter. So good.

Cereal, granola, and fruits are available for the healthy eaters.

I also love the little touches throughout the inn, like this book light switch.

If you come during the summer, or during the warm days of fall and spring, sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.

There are 12 rooms, each decorated uniquely, at the Brook Farm Inn, with three more rooms at the Carriage House. Some rooms have whirlpool tubs, so you can read and select your rooms online before booking. There's free wifi throughout the property and free parking.

Disclosure: This visit was hosted through Select Registry, an association of inns, small hotels, and bed and breakfasts around the country.
