Max and Leo's Coal-Fired Pizza, Now Open in Fenway (Boston, MA)
Max and Leo's is a highly rated coal-fired pizza join in Newton, and lucky for us they've just opened up shop in the Game On! space in Fenway.
Wings are also a good appetizer to share. They're not deep fried and the meat was tender and juicy. The favorite (if you can take the heat) seems to be the Honey Hot Habanero wings ($10.50)
Coal-Fired Hot Dogs topped with chili and cheese. These dogs are finished off in the coal-fired oven.
Meatball calzone
I prefer the pizza than the calzone, but if you're here solo, this may be the way to go for a smaller meal.
There's a build-your-own nachos which are great to share with a big party, especially while watching a game. You can choose your own toppings and I went (perhaps a strange route) with bacon and olives.
They also have a good craft brew list. After all the food we tried, our favorite is definitely the coal-fired pizza, as expected since that is what they are known for. As this is some of the best pizza you can now get in the city, expect a big crowd on game nights, but you should take the opportunity to come here when there isn't a game!
