Lunch at Del Frisco's Grille in Burlington, MA

I first heard of Del Frisco's Grille from their Santa Monica location, but didn't have the chance to check it out. Apparently it's a national chain and there's a location in Burlington, MA.

While the more formal Del Frisco had been around for longer, the company has refocused their efforts on the more casual Del Frisco's Grille. All the new locations they are opening will be the Grille, and each one will have a different decor. The Burlington location has a red-themed decor.

We started lunch with the Ahi tuna tacos, guacamole

Coming from LA, this dish is nothing new but still good with fresh tuna and flavorful guacamole.

Next we had a series of flatbreads, starting with the Roasted tomato and mozzarella flatbread
I was pleasantly surprised with this pizza. The flavors were better than I had expected, especially with the roasted tomatoes.

Another flatbread: Bacon, fontina, shaved brussel sprout
Another pleasant surprise, and a rather unusual flatbread topping. Who knew shaved brussel sprout would be so good on flatbread?

Mushroom, truffle oil

Philly Cheesesteak eggrolls, honey mustard, sweet chili sauce
Del Frisco's Grille
I thought this was a fun, creative item. I'm not sure if the sweet chili sauce is the best complement for the cheesesteak but overall it was a fun bite.

A popular lunch item is (obviously) the Prime Cheeseburger
By the way, is the mini ketchup bottle that comes with the fries cute or what?

We had a dessert duo of Coconut Cream Pie and an Adult milkshake (with creme de cacao, Nocello, and local Richardson's ice cream)
Del Frisco's Grille
The coconut cream pie was surprisingly light! I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. The milk shake was made with Richardson's Ice Cream which is from Middleton, MA. I like that despite the restaurant being a national chain, each restaurant seeks the opportunity to use a local ingredient in their menu!

As far as chain restaurants go, Del Frisco's Grille is definitely one of the best ones out there. Give it a try if you're heading out to Burlington Mall next time.

PS. Del Frisco's Grille is offering $10 flatbreads for take-out only on Halloween day. Offer available at all DFG locations nationwide except for New York.
